BE HUMAN LABS Talk to us

A lab that develops humans into Forward Thinkers and Active Shapers.

BE Human Labs is a human transformation lab. It uses research, innovation and transformation to build people's awareness, capability, connection and contribution.

A few people are shaping the future. Everyone else is absorbing it.

The gap isn't about talent. It's about who has been prepared to see what is coming and act on it.

2 in 5

people have had any AI training, though two in three already use AI regularly.

The future is being designed by a small number of people: those building the technologies, systems and institutions everyone else will live inside. Most people experience change as something that happens to them, not something they take part in.

See the evidence
  • The most capable AI systems are built by a small number of organisations. Industry produced about 91% of notable AI models in 2025.Stanford AI Index 2026
  • Almost half of people say they have limited knowledge of AI, and only 40% of employees say their workplace has a policy or guidance on generative AI use.University of Melbourne and KPMG, 2025
  • Across 25 countries, awareness of and enthusiasm for AI are higher among the highly educated and in wealthier countries. Who feels ready tracks who has been prepared.Pew Research Center, October 2025
  • People in India are among the most optimistic about AI, with only 19% more concerned than excited. The divide here is about preparation and a say in what comes next, not fear.Pew Research Center, October 2025

The skills people were taught to prove their worth are being absorbed.

It shows first at the start of careers, where knowledge learned from books and courses is most of what a person brings.

55%

of Indian IT firms saw entry-level employment fall after adopting AI. At mid level, only 25% did.

Technology is absorbing the very skills people spent years building, above all the knowledge that once set them apart. Meanwhile, the way people learn, work and grow was designed for a slower, more predictable world. People are being trained for a test that is no longer being set.

  • Employers expect 39% of workers' core skills to change by 2030, and 63% name skill gaps as the biggest barrier to transforming their business.World Economic Forum, Future of Jobs Report 2025
  • Of every 100 workers, 59 will need training by 2030, and 11 of those are not expected to get it.World Economic Forum, Future of Jobs Report 2025
  • Across 31 countries, adult literacy has stagnated or declined over the past decade in most places, including among university graduates.OECD Survey of Adult Skills, December 2024
  • Only 4% of Indian IT firms have trained more than half their workforce in AI-related skills.ICRIER, 2026
  • Net hiring by Indian IT companies fell from about 6 lakh in FY22 to about 1.4 lakh in FY26.Xpheno, cited by Nomura, August 2026
  • Not every entry-level job is affected. Overall fresher hiring in India rose 17% year on year in February 2026, led by non-IT sectors. The squeeze is concentrated in AI-exposed work.Naukri JobSpeak, February 2026

BE Human Labs helps people become Forward Thinkers and Active Shapers, so more of them shape what comes next instead of absorbing it.

Research, innovation and transformation, run as one engine.

What the lab learns becomes what it builds, and what it builds changes how people live.

01

Research

Learns what is changing, in humans, in society, in technology and in the future.

For example: what happens to a person's judgment when AI drafts the first answer?

02

Innovation

Builds a response, with new ideas, models, tools and possibilities grounded in what research found.

For example: a format for practising judgment rather than recall.

03

Transformation

Changes how people live, for individuals and for groups.

For example: running it with real people in their real setting, and checking it is still in use months later.

Why all three

Research without innovation stays on paper, innovation without research solves the wrong problem, and neither changes anything without transformation. Together they make change both right and real.

Many organisations do one part well. Research bodies understand what is changing, training and education providers bring change to people at scale, and builders create new tools. BE Human Labs works alongside all of them. Its difference is running all three as one engine.

Four dimensions, developed together.

They move a person from Forward Thinker to Active Shaper.

Four strands make the knot.

Awareness

Who am I, and how am I connected to the people and the world around me?

Awareness lets a person see what is changing and imagine what could be.

Capability

What can I do, and how can I do it better?

Transforming your skills gives you the means to act, including knowing when to use tools like AI and when not to rely on them.

Connection

Who can I do this with?

Drawing on collective power lets people create change no one could alone.

Contribution

What will I actually change, and will I see it through?

Contribution carries action through to a real outcome. Standard skills lists describe traits; this asks whether change actually happened.

Forward Thinker and Active Shaper

A Forward Thinker looks beyond the present, questions assumptions, understands emerging possibilities and imagines what could be.

An Active Shaper takes that understanding into action by experimenting, creating, collaborating and contributing. A person draws on all four dimensions every time they shape something, which is why they grow together rather than in order.

What growth might look like
  • Awareness: naming your strengths, patterns and blind spots, and noticing how your choices affect others.
  • Capability: learning new things faster, and using tools to do more, while knowing when not to rely on them.
  • Connection: seeking out people who think differently, and bringing a group to act together.
  • Contribution: starting things and finishing them, and pointing to a change that exists because of you.

These are illustrative. Defining the real signs, starting with Contribution, is the lab's first research question.

Every Active Shaper widens the circle.

Change shows up in three spheres of impact. One piece of work can touch all three at once.

One shaper.

Human

The transformation of the individual.

How a person learns, writes and thinks, the choices they make, and the path their talent takes.

Society

How people live, work and create together.

The circles and communities people belong to, and the classrooms, workplaces and institutions they spend their lives inside.

Humanity

The contribution to the larger human journey.

The large shared questions no one solves alone, such as how people live alongside technology and how they respond to the climate.

Four offerings, each doing something the others can't.

People guide it

Mentors, practitioners and a community of shapers who walk alongside change, bringing judgment and lived experience no tool can supply.

Products scale it

Tools, frameworks and experiences that put transformation in people's hands, reaching more people than any guide could alone.

Programs structure it

Structured journeys that give change a path and a pace, taking individuals and groups from intent to change.

Systems sustain it

Redesigned environments and institutions, because what people learn sticks only when the environment around them supports using it.

How the offerings grow and combine

BE Human Labs is designed so that the people it develops become the people it offers. Today's participants are meant to become tomorrow's mentors and practitioners.

The offerings also work together: a program uses a product, and people help redesign systems. Most transformations draw on more than one.

Why systems matter
  • A meta-analysis of 89 studies found the work environment shapes whether training is applied on the job, especially for open skills such as leadership and interpersonal skills.Blume, Ford, Baldwin and Huang, Journal of Management, 2010
  • Peer, supervisor and organisational support each independently predict whether training lasts. Peer support explained the most.Hughes, Zajac, Woods and Salas, Human Factors, 2020
More people shaping what comes next, not absorbing it.

Questions people ask.

Is this leadership training or a future-skills course?

No. Personal development, leadership training and future skills help people do better inside the world as it is. BE Human Labs helps people take part in deciding what that world becomes.

Who does BE Human Labs work with?

Individuals and groups, and the institutions around them. The lab works alongside research bodies, training and education providers, and builders of new tools.

What does the lab actually offer?

People, products, programs and systems. Most transformations draw on more than one.
